A Way to have billingual feature on smugmug. Thoughts?

I have an idea to have the "billingual feature" on one smugmug site.



1. Create the necessary pages (about me, contact....) in your primary language of choice (i.e English)

2. Create the same pages of these above but in another language (i.e German)

3. Create two index pages, the english index page with all english pages on the navi bar and the german index page with all german pages on the navi bar.

4. Creat a landing page with links directly to the two index pages.
Some thing like thís.



Is this possible? If yes, how?

Well, sort of. You could use two smart galleries (one in each language) that link to a single master, to reduce maintenance time. I don't know how you would customize the text in standard SM widgets like the shopping cart or share panel. I'm also not too clear whether there's any simple way to have different language menus on each branch without creating them over and over again at the gallery level.

I considered going bilingual years ago and concluded that it wasn't worth the effort, but perhaps enough has changed in the new SM that it would be easier. If I were you, I'd look for help from someone who has truly mastered customization--it's not a trivial problem.

It works for now, check it out: www.tunguyenwedding.com (besides the fact that my gallery/blog disappeared) but now I will have to manually custom the menu for every single pages, which takes you a whole of time if you have hunderts of pages

I don't see any difference between the two selections. All contents show only English.

Because I haven't recategrized and manually customed the navi bar for each of them yet
100 pages need to be done, it's going to be a long day...

I think something is missing here:
When I click on the german for gallery



I get taken back to the english version:

You can add the two different menus to your homepage. Then using CSS with each widget unique
class name show/hide which one to show on specific areas of your site.

That's the only problem til now because we can use one gallery for each folder.
I guess I have to duplicate the current gallery and use different gallery for different language
