I agree #2 is nice. I'm trying to figure out why we don't like #1 as much... The lack of detail in the sky, the low saturation of colors, I wonder what it would look like in Bw with increased contrast and a pure white sky?

Taz, Eldon, boco, thanks. Juano, the first one said something to me when I took it but I'm concluding that it just isn't a very good photo. That may have something to do with your lack of enthusiasm! Thanks for commenting.

The first one is really nice, Don. I'm digging the beautiful light and details in the shot. Plus that crazy tall cholla on the foreground is really neat. The second one with the misty mountain has more wow factor, that's just the way these things go.

I like the second one more, only because of the clouds. You might try a BW conversion.
