This is a shot from earlier in the month, while camping in the coastal rainforest with friends. It's a single exposure image, worked in Lightroom.
7D + Tokina 11-16mm @ f/2.8
ISO: 2500
Shutter: 30sec.
Timer: 2sec.
Speedlite 430 EX II (hand held, fired once)
Here's how it went:
With the camera on a sturdy tripod, I had Beth click the shutter button as I was in front of the camera, in the dark. With a small handheld flashlight, I tried my best to draw a straight line (the lightsaber). Then, I put myself into position so as to seem like I was holding the lightsaber, and gave Beth the 'go' to point the flash at me and hit the test fire button.
The lightsaber had a small bend near my hands, so I had to use the clone tool to fix that, but the rest is unchanged, in terms of cloning and whatnot.
Thanks for viewing!
