For about the last 4 weeks, the skies have been grey here in Mn.
I'm seeing birds, seeing others pics of birds,(snowy owl) but I can't get a good shot
at any of them.

Today we saw a kestrel, sharp shinned hawk, and a dozen eagles.

Here are the worst shots you've seen of Raptors.

canon xt with a sigma 80-400os.

Thanks for looking, bet you wish you didn't.
I'm so depressed. :cry

We had COLD blue skies here today, but no raptors! I am really down in the dumps, too..............

However I cheered up and had a good laugh when I saw your last two shots!

Now those are about the worst raptor shots I have seen.

I thought you were totally wrong with the first ones. Nice raptors, at least they are raptors, but then I saw that next to last one and just started laughing.

    ginger, thanks for sharing!!!!

I like the first 3 shots of the raptors. You can always add a sky.

Thanks for looking folks. I hope you don't want to burn out your eyes
    after doing so.

I think to truly understand just how crummy the weather is, you need
to see a non PS pic from today.

    You've been warned.......

    My eyes, MY EYES!

After looking at these, I wanted to throw the camera in the river.

thanks for making me feel better. I had high hopes this weekend but even with blue skies I couldn't make it happen myself. Had plenty of opportunities and muffed most if not all.

You know what they say, "Sometimes your the bug and sometimes your the windshield"!!

At least were not this fish or peli :wow rolleyes1.gif :lol4 :lol

I also feel your pain. Although this morning I woke up and actually saw the sun. I got excited and went down to my usual spot only to find nothing thereumph.gif. Well there were a couple woodpeckers but nothing too exciting. At least you have exciting wildlife there. I have never seen an Eagle here and would love to see a Kestrel. There was a colorful male Wood duck here a couple weeks ago but that has been about it.

I told my husband we should take our dogs to the beach this AM. It is sunny and probably the warmest day of the week.

Now he actually expects me to go!

I just can't get excited, I have gone out and almost killed myself, even without the fall and loss of shoes, I have thought I could not walk another step and had many more steps to walk to get out of where ever I was.

And I have gotten nothing!!!! Now at that time, you all were getting good stuff.

I cannot even in my imagination think of where to go for what???

    ginger

    Good try all!

    Thanks again folks.
I'll try to get out and take some more crummy pics, so the rest of you can feel a little bit better about you're shots.:):
As all of you know, this was tongue in cheek.
I still had a good time driving around, talking with my wife, and seeing some birds.
(even though they were obscured by tree branches):D

Stay loose, I'm sure I'll have more crummy shots soon.umph.gif

Your Kestrel in flight is not that bad. I agree with Harry, you have to understand just how hard those are to catch at all. And it is grey all over the Midwest, so you aren't alone, Davev.
