Hope you don't mind, but I've actually got 2 for the year. Both shots were taken at Koteewi County Park, Hamilton County, Indiana. Happy New Year to all.

I set out to select a top 10 but like last year I ended up with 13 favorites, split almost evenly between landscapes and flowers. I hope it's OK that I'm one over your request for 12.
rocks sheathed in ice along the New Hampshire coast
painted (Queen's Tears)
snowy footprints
on edge, a view of a pansy
a sea of yellow
at Reid State Park, a feast of beauty
a perfect reflection, at Halibut Point State Park
curled petals
celosia spicata in bright pink
sculpted rocks on a foggy day at Schoodic
chrysanthemum in bright pink
clouds reflect on wet sand, at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge
flurries float above Eagle Lake (Acadia National Park)
If you'd like to view these as a slideshow, they are from my gallery http://www.denisegoldberg.com/Fragments/Top-photos-2015/.

By the way, it looks like you loaded the photos into your favorites gallery. I used to do that as well, but I've switched to tagging my favorites with a keyword and then creating a smart gallery based on that keyword. That allowed me to select photos and fine-tune my selection.
My favorites are 3 and 4, beautiful!
--- Denise My favorites are 1, 3, 9, and 10.

First, thanks everyone for all of the positive comments. I have really been enjoying all of the other entries as well - you guys are all terriffic!
@Denise:
Yes, I created shortcuts to the (SM) originals in the Favorites folder. I'm fairly anal about my keywords and since Lightroom is my "master" I only create keywords in Lightroom and don't create keywords for what is actually a rating. Unfortunately SmugMug can't base Smart Gallery settings on ratings. I'm pretty sure I've already put in a feature request for this.
It surprisingly didn't take much time at all to go through my 2015 galleries and shortcut the chosen pictures to the Favorites gallery. Many roads lead to Rome... Thanks for the tip, though! I always appreciate your help.
Cheers,
Sara

Had limited gear with me that hol, and once I realised there was a windfarm in the west, I was there most eves trying to get something vaguely acceptable.
The vista this partic eve after sun had disappeared (with tide out) was 'wall to wall' as shown in this very small portion (500 + 7Dm2)
No tripod, so gear on top of an electrical control box using stuff scrounged from a local builder's skip as a crude turntable to provide option for multiple frame panos.

Cool!
Building the tripod-ish thing on the spot to shoot panos with 500mm....no easy feat!
Cheers!
