Hi, I have a problem that when ever I goto my gallery page, I get the four help note tabs which I have to click before I can do anything on that page. Anyone know how I can get rid of these annoying messages?

Thanks

one more thing. What happened to the ability to add smugmug members to a friend list?

If you complete the help guides (click through all of them until the end) they should go away. If you've done that and they still show up, let me know and I'll disable them manually for you.

Thanks for your reply. I went through both guides again, Now the messages do not appear but the page still goes dark and I am unable to do anything. (same as before but without the messages).

Just tried clearing my cache and the messages have reappeared.

Your progress of going through the guides might be saved in a cookie. Is your browser deleting cookies when closed?
Might have to toggle off deleting cookies till guides are finished.

    Confused with your last statement.
If it's saving the guide progress in a cookie you can't delete that cookie till the guides are completed.

    What I dis was -

    went through the guides,
    Tried loading the page.
    problem still there,
so I cleared browser data cookies, cache etc
    tried again
    problem still there
so I set the browser to delete cookies when closes
and tried again and the problem is still there.

It is strange, I do not think I have had this problem before. I have tried both chrome and opera browsers. same thing.

The progress is stored with us, not in a cookie. Just let me know your site URL and I'll double check and see what's going on.

Your site should be all set and the guides are disabled. Please let me know if you have any other issues.

leftquark, I have been annoyed by this same issue. For the Content and Design customization I am never able to get past the 2nd tab, so it comes up every time I go into customization. Can you please disable guides on my site as well. Thanks.

Can someone at Smugmug please turn these off for him?? I went threw the menu times after time after emailing support and they never went away.. Finally someone in development turned them off for me, why can't you just do that? The customer would really appreciate it..

    Hi David,
We should be all set -- I disabled the guides for SuperSnappz last night. I had been waiting on getting their site name, since it wasn't listed anywhere on dgrin, but I was able to track it down on my own and disable the guides. I also disabled the guides on your site, back when we were able to finally get them to go away for you. The heroes are also now trained on how to turn off the guides.
