My site looks terrible on mobile

Hi folks,
Just wondering if it is possible to disable the "optimize" for mobile feature. My site looks exactly how I want it to on a computer, but embarrassingly, terrible on my phone. The rollovers on images (title & translucent background colour) are permanently displayed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hal.

One logical approach would be to disable built-in "Hover Info" option in the gallery content block and write your own css to do the hover on regular screen while disabling it on mobile devices.

Mine looks horrible too. No "settings" options anymore for a better display, preview thumbs on folders are tiny & mashed together all in a column, and... no "Search" anywhere? (Can that be true?) Also, only a very small percentage of viewers would ever guess that the small triangle instantly starts a whole slideshow of every photo on one's site-- I sure didn't! It takes forever to load, & it did a splash image that wasn't even my photo! On my site, that is a completely useless function. I'm kinda shocked at how few options there are now on mobile...& even so, it looks bad, so it doesn't seem that function was even traded in for attractiveness.

At least part of the problem with your site on mobile is that your "logo" is made up of two pieces that are stacked. This uses more vertical space and detracts from the site on a mobile device.

Are you aware that you can target CSS at your site on a mobile display? As a starting point, see Change Features for Mobile or Tablet Browsers.

Did you try using your menu? Search is right there.

Your site is ... interestingly different than most I've seen. It sure seems complicated to navigate, unlike nearly all other SmugMug sites I've seen out there. Have you added customizations that are doing this?

Try this one, for example: http://www.oyvindpedersen.com/HORN%C3%98YA/
