After a few trial runs at their practices, I shot my first actual roller derby bout/competition.
Unfortunately I was pretty sick so I spent almost the whole time with a bit of a fever and a headache perpetuated by the refs' whistles a mere 4 ft from my head, but made it through and survived!
This was certainly a lot more difficult than the practices as I had refs in front of me all day long, and following derby through the viewfinder is sometimes challenging!
Here are a few of my favorites. Including a few different angles I shot in case there is any constructive criticism, although be gentle:
