I searched....many times over the last year. Didn't find the answer. Since I don't do customizing to any degree, when I do something, it may be months before I want to do it again. So, I don't remember how I did it before. I have featured photos on my home page. Where are the instructions on how to "feature" (and arrange) photos?

Without seeing your site it's difficult to know how you featured the photos. I'm guessing you placed a photos content block on your home page.

    Try this:
    • Go to the page you want to change.
    • While you are logged on to your site, Customize... Content and Design
    • Hover over the block containing the photos that you want to change.
    • Click the wrench icon.
    • Change the photos you have displayed.
    • Click done, then publish.

See help page on content blocks at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1210628-what-are-content-blocks-and-how-are-they-used-.

If I didn't guess right, please post back with a link to your site.

Thanks. I'll take a look at your steps tomorrow. Content blocks is a term I haven't seen before. Link: http://keithswalley.smugmug.com/

It looks like you may have referenced a gallery on your home page as opposed to selecting individual photos. If you are simply pointing to a gallery then you can either change the gallery in the content block or you can change the photos in that gallery, deleting some, adding others.

Well, it doesn't seem to work for me. At one time, it was very simple to display a copy of a photo on the home page by going to the wanted photo and featuring it.....somehow. But, it is not that important for what I use Smugmug for, so I won't worry about it until I'm in the mood to try again. Thanks for the reply.

    Hi Keith,

You currently have a multiple photos content block on your homepage with the source set to "Single Gallery" with the Featured gallery selected. So, we will display the photos in the gallery, in the order you have them in the gallery. This is a great way to choose which images appear and in what order they appear. You can create a new gallery or update that gallery if you want to change the images that are displayed.

Another option is to change the source of that content block from Single Gallery to something different like Photos I Choose. Photos I Choose will let you select the specific images, they will appear in the order in which they are selected. You can also choose popular photos, recent photos, or keywords.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, we are always happy to help.
