Adobe has pulled its latest update to CC after reports of lost files on OS-X machines.
Creative Cloud users are advised not to install the version 3.5.0.206 update or, for those who have already done so, not to log in

Ars technica has some details here along with a suggested workaround if you have already installed the update. Note that while the problem was first reported by users of Backblaze, the problem isn't limited to Backblaze files. No word yet when a fix will be released.

Adobe issued an update this past Sunday. The fixed version is 3.5.1.209. You can check version number in the Creative Cloud desktop preferences.

If you have selected to always keep Creative Cloud desktop updated in the preferences setting in Creative Cloud, it will auto update with each new release. Otherwise, select check for app updates in the Creative Cloud desktop dropdown menu under the spoke wheel thingy--"thingy" being a technical term.

Glad to hear that this has been resolved. It's a good example of why I never allow automatic updates when I have the choice. It's always better to wait a few days and see if the Internet explodes before installing new software. Doesn't happen often, fortunately, but when it does it can be nasty.
