Egret out on a limb
Hi, I found a bunch of egrets today! Here is one! He was so close I kept backing up, or tried to, with the 400. These birds, Carolina birds spook very easily!
The last one, I used some creative camera tilting to get the feet and all in.
Thank you for looking, comments welcome. I used LAB, saturation, selective color on red and yellow, plus USM.
I don't remember the exif, could find it.
On the last shot, the exif is 400 ISO, f8, 1/2000, EV -0.67
I remember that I raised the ISO as I hoped to get some flying, but that was difficult with the trees. That was my intention at the time, though.
And I was with Bill, we had the dogs, it was really a "dog" outing. The birds were in the shrimping town of McClellanville.
A surprise.

After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

I like #3 and #4 the best. But, these are all great. And, so close too. Wow! Looks like you're right next to them. Love the look of the face of #3 and 4. He looks mean. Hehe.
