Look familiar?? I used a similar slinky in a photo challenge a few months ago - I didn't even make it into the top ten :cry

:D I guessed your pic right away!

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Plastic colored slinky. Cool shot, but what are the hairy looking fibers?

The background is actually a Silver reflector, one of the stroboframe 'pops' Thought it might give an interesting lighting effect, reflecting the flash back up into the slinky

I wondered what it was at first then I figured it was one of those slinky things, great angle you've chosen to shoot it at.....sorta looked like a big eye at first, then I thought now its like a spiraling tunnel.
Nice colours too thumb.gif Skippy (Australia)

The angle came about by having te slinky hang vertically from the amera lens. Mounted the camers on the tripod poiting straight down, and then fiting the slinky over the end of the lens. Had to wait a couple of minutes before the thing would stop moving! :):

The first few were alittle dull till I dragged out the reflector and laid it on the floor underneath the slinky
