Common Mergansers

These were shot in morning light filtered through some trees which was fortunate because I also had some shots in bright sunlight --> white areas of the bird overexposed, black areas underexposed. Is it even possible to get a decent exposure in that situation??:dunno

    nice shots and in bright sun very hard too do sme with any black /white bird ne_nau.gif

    Good captures Kevin, nice reflection, catchlight in the eye thumb.gif .. I see you've taken to clipping a few feathers as well rolleyes1.gif

    Ive had the same problem exposing black and white ones headscratch.gif. I guess that lens can take sharp shots after all :lol4

    Steve - how'd I know you were going to bust me on the clipped tail feathers??
    I noticed also when reivewing the pix that I'm just not watching the tails like I used to (at least Sheri would be happy to hear this). Guess I'm just getting old.
    - also, i need an explanation of your last comment (specifically the smiley you chose). I'll talk to you Saturday, out back, about it.
