This cranefly flew in from outside through the open back door into the kitchen, attracted no doubt by the fluorescent light. It landed on a wooden chopping board. The photo's are differing from each other because of the angle of light and the addition of an extension tube here and there as well the Venus lens at 60mm...
It has picked up strands of fibrous material on it's mouth-parts - animal, mineral or vegetable, I wouldn't know...
