California Highway Patrol Officer Nathan Taylor - died from injuries he suffered after being struck by an SUV while directing traffic in a snowstorm on March 12, 2016 near Truckee, Ca. The procession to bring Officer Taylor home from Reno to Rocklin, Ca included hundreds of CHP vehicles, Cal Trans and other emergency personnel (a sight to behold). The 110 mile route passed under many overpasses lined with fellow officers, Cal Fire, local Firefighters, local EMTs, local Police and citizens who had come out to pay their respect for the fallen officer.

The front of the procession - many sirens, lights and tears.

The center of the procession - Officer Taylor lies in the white Hearst.

The end of the procession - Cal Trans workers with Officer Taylor's name on their rear signs, keeping the normal traffic at bay until the procession can reach it's destination. There were very few complaints about the slow-down.
