Multimax Issues

[FONT=Geneva, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]I'm new to wizards so I'm not sure what to expect - but at the price I paid for these I don't expect misfires.
I'm shooting w/ multimax's (2 off camera 1 on) in a gym placed off the corners of one end of a basketball court, elevated 12'-14'. General shooting position is between the strobes. I'm getting about 1 in 20 misfires on either multimax. I have one max on zone A the other on B so the on-camera multimax lets me know which one did not respond (great feature). Does not seem to be a pattern to which one doesn't fire.
Is this expected? I've tried channels 17 and 20 without any change. I've tried to keep the max's off metal an also set up both in zone A with same results. [/FONT]
