Bay Photo, might as well order straight from there!

:dunno Why can't all products that are in Bays web site offered here if you choose to use them, I would highly recommend this, for all here, or we should just have our customers contact us and we can order through multiple ROES ordering.
It should not be that hard to incorporate all their products. wood, acrylic,panos……..

How many agree with this, or would you rather order straight from Bay, or even other labs, shipping is high at Bay, though they give you discounts there, which SmugMug does notepads on,, most labs if you order more than one of a same photo, they give you bulk prices, Also, about the mid-west states, how about a lab like Bay around here that gives high quality products, selections, to compete on this with the shipping charges,, it all adds up to your clients final price.

    Ordering from Bay and other labs (based on what I need - prints or products) directly. I personally believe that Smugmug's final prices are much higher than if you deal with the lab directly.

    Yet, SmugMug should listen to it's users, a lot want more choices in the selections or a couple labs to order from, many of their competitors do, which I am looking at, no commissions, more labs, (just hate to start from scratch again,, we are in the mid-west, Bay's/Smugmug are too much on shipping too, heck maybe Flikr, it is inexpensive and you can take your own orders.m, the biggest obstacle is being disabled, so i need to rely on fulfillment..

    And don't forget, a lot of Smugmug users have plenty of lab options and want them to fix basic web functionality to be better, mobile integration, fix how metadata is handled, more responsive prettier designs, social media features, yada yada yada....

    Personally I'd love to see all the bugs fixed before they added any new features. Oh, wait..... that's also my complaint with adobe, but I can reuse it here :D

    As a very vocal participant (and at one point banned from Digital Grin) in debating this issue, I can after a large amount of research that shows the price advantage goes back and forth between SmugMug and Bay depending on the products, sizes, quantities, etc.

    You would need to compare order by order to see to see which order was less expensive from who every time.

    The advantage is your customers can buy through an internet shopping cart without you being involved.

    Good luck, I ain't gone down that rabbit hole again. :D

    We'd love to add additional Bay Products to the SmugMug store and we've got some additional products in the works. We won't be adding all of Bay Photos products but we do plan on adding the more popular new ones. Stay tuned.

    Additionally, as Sam mentioned, some products will be cheaper when purchased through SmugMug and some products will be cheaper through Bay Photo. The benefit of using SmugMug is that we handle the entire transaction for you, also as Sam mentioned :)
