    Brian,

    A nice set.

So, is it pale because it is freshly-emerged or is it a rare variant?

    Thanks Harold.
Think the colouration is only partly due to it being fairly recently emerged and having a full set of fur. Think it's more to do with the camera and lighting angles. The light colouring only seems to show up on low angle shots.
One of the high angle shots on my finger looks more of the regular dull brown colour.
