The bupestrid beetles or jewel beetles. This one is a female Anthaxia nitidula who was enjoying the sunshine yesterday.

    It is a problem with the upload to Smugmug I think .... will try to reconvert ... in LR this in your face effect is not there.

    I know exactly what you are saying.....I think it might be the browser.....what I see in LR, I rarely if ever get to see it browser.....sigh....
