"It is with a very heavy heart that I must share sad news with our readers and the rest of the photographic community. After an extended battle with cancer, the Founder of Luminous-Landscape, Michael Reichmann, has passed away. He was surrounded by family and friends over the last few weeks. He put up a valiant fight. He passed late on May 18th at age 71."
The remainder of the story is at the above link.
I too am saddened by this loss. He was a champion of photographers and photography. His introspective observations into the art and craft of photography in all its forms helped to shape what we know today.
Farewell and God speed, my unmet friend.
He will be missed.

He will be missed.
I always liked his composition choices too.
I am glad Kevin Raber has taken the reins of the Luminous Landscape. I like his enthusiasm.
