On a Wednesday at the oldest Buddhist Temple in Lhasa, Tibet was the birthday of the deposed Dalai Lama; and there were thousands of pilgrims and devotees praying in honor of him

It was quite an experience

My favorite shot. The smoke is incense renewed by the devotees

These people are doing "prostrations"

These people are walking around the Temple (as they do everyday) reciting their mantras. The dog? Well he's a dog...

It was awesome....

    Great stuff rags!
I agree, #1 has a very balanced comp with the central worshiper nicely free of the smoke!
I like the mood of #2 a lot also...

I love the second one. Very nicely captured. I suspect I might like it somewhat less if I understood the store signs, but ignorance is bliss this time. In another cultural disconnect, #1 made me think of tear gas, not incense. Sign of the times? ne_nau.gif
