Hi guys, newbie here, a friend referred me to this forum. I've been in iphone photography for a while and finally got my new DLSR last week (woohoo!)

My mates and I did a little photowalk last Friday, since it's the start of Vivid Sydney, we thought it's time to get some night shots.

I'm self trained and welcome for criticisms, thanks guys!

    Welcome to DGrin!

You will get more reaction to your shots if you embed the photos in your post here; people are more likely to look if they don't need to click offsite. Take a look at the FAQ How to Embed an Image in Your Post for instructions.

Nice shots, Moleman. I prefer the composition in number 1 to number 2. The opera house really doesn't add anything, and the figures in the foreground of number 1 do add to the picture. You can straighten the leaning buildings by using the perspective controls in Lightroom or photoshop if you are interested in doing that. From my perspective (get it?) 1and 3 would benefit from the correction.

    Hi Eldon,

Thanks for the great feedback, I didn't know there were controls for perspective in LR. Will try it out later. :)

In LR 5 or 6, the perspective controls are found under "Lens Corrections" in the develop module. Click "manual" and then experiment with the sliders. It's not always a complete solution, but give it a try.

Yeah Eldon, will do. Thanks! This is a big help as I am still on the process of exploring LR and maybe PS in the near future.
