On the trip to the Galapagos this 'hitchhiker' stayed with us on the zodiac all the way to the beach. Really hard to know though who is looking at whom!! By the way if anyone knows what type of bird this is let me know.

Juvenile Lava heron. The stare is intense, and it's a bit of a freaky shot with the beak foreshortened like that (in a good way)
