I just watched one of the screen casts and didn't see this answer.

Example: I have a photo of my father at a birthday parts in san francisco.

Is it possible to have that same image show up if I was looking at:
my family members
photos in san francisco
birthday parties
the particular birthday event

How do I do this.

Thanks

Steve

Do you mean you are using the search function when you are "looking at" or do you mean you want to build smart galleries?
Anyway the basic way would be the same: adding keywords that allow you to group your photos.
    For example you could have:
Family & Friends, Family, Friends, USA, San Francisco, California, Arizona, birthday, party, "event-name" ...
you would then add the fitting keywords to your photos (either in the organizer or via for example Lightroom and the smugmug plugin) and when you use the search function and looked for Arizona the photo mentioned would not turn up (San Francisco is not in Arizona) -- unless Arizona was part of the photo title, caption or filename, but when you would search for "Family" it would along with photos of say your grandparents, siblings, uncles ...

For smart Galleries: you would create one Gallery per search option and than re-open the settings of that Gallery to change it to smart gallery. In the settings for smart galleries you can choose for example that you want to only include photos in that Gallery that include a specific keyword and you could restrict the number of photos, if you wanted to.
See here for a better description smart galleries based on keywords

    Good luck

You can also take advantage of our "Collecting" feature. When in the Organizer you can drag one photo into multiple galleries and choose the option to "Collect" the image. Basically it creates a virtual copy of the photo into the other gallery. You can read more about this on our help page here: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/en/portal/articles/93310-can-i-display-a-photo-in-multiple-galleries-?b_id=1644
