I'm a bike freak....rode the things for over 60 years, having gotten my first one when I was 14. I saw a couple of very early Indians at the recent mega show held each year at the World Golf Village near St. Augustine, FL. It's truly a world class show and shouldn't be missed by those into the lore of motorcycling.
Good shot,
Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
I, too, am an old biker, Tom, and a guy I rode with long ago had one of these. He never shifted gears in the middle of a corner because of the gyroscopic effect of the in-line crank. It ran very, very smoothly.
This bike was restored by the mechanics at The Rhinebeck Aerodrome and it is displayed there.

Unlike Tom, I haven't ridden a motorized bike since about 1976... and that Indian looks like a butt-busting ride.
