Almost solstice, almost full moon :)

Hi,

I'm not a big fan of moon shots and this is probably mainly because I don't like to use the tripod and also because my 200mm telephoto is not powerful enough for good close-ups.

Anyway, 2 days before the solstice, sitting on the deck with my husband I noticed this beautiful mood rising above the Arizona mountains. We both thought it was full moon - had no idea about the fact that it was actually supposed to be fully full at the solstice

Since it was not yet too dark, I decided to take the camera, braced my elbows on the rail and got some shots.
They are not very close but I liked the clouds around and also the environment, with the part of the village underneath... here they are:
