Link to a gallery

I don't seem to have much luck in sending links to galleries to family members. No passwords are used or supplied.

When I have a Folder, with separate Galleries in that folder, and I want to link to one of the Galleries, what line should I copy and paste? The Folder is unlisted, but that shouldn't make a difference.

If replying, a screen shot would be appreciated.

Open the gallery and copy the URL from the address line in the browser.

If I wanted to send a link to the gallery in the screen shot below, I would copy this - http://www.denisegoldberg.com/Wandering-near-home/Summer-2016/ - from the address line in the browser.

If you want to send links to multiple galleries at once you might try using a sharegroup. See help page at Can I share multiple unlisted galleries with one link?.

thanks. I have one folder, with different galleries in the folder, and send links to the selected gallary by email. Just photos of different family events that I share, but just with family.

Does being unlisted change anything except the folders not being viewable to my SmugMug site by others?

If the folder is unlisted then the galleries within it inherit the unlisted characteristic. That means that giving the folder URL to someone (other than yourself when logged in) will not show them anything. You can either give them explicit links to the galleries or you can create a sharegroup to share mulitple unlisted galleries.

If you want to share the galleries individually you can send the URL in the browser address bar.

Note that an unlisted gallery has a URL that includes some extra characters at the end. These are required to access the gallery so it is important that you copy the full URL from the address bar.
