Jo, Cristobal, Eric, thanks! It grabbed me and it's good to know I'm not alone.

Great shot. The conversion work you've chosen suits my eye really well.thumb.gif

Love this shot Don! Is this a crop or the original size? I would be interested to see a crop with just a bit more air to the left of the flower and a bit less of those two short angled branches going off to the right. But that is very nit-picky. It's really great!

Orv, David, Tom, Sara, thanks. Sara, it's basically uncropped, except what I lost when I straightened it slightly, so there's no room for tinkering in that department.

Damn, what the hell is wrong with me.....not feeling same impact......I think it is the wall behind it (assuming there is...).....look forward to next...cheers Don!

Nothing's wrong with you. :D I can't count the number of times I've seen people raving about a photo I didn't like. Tastes vary.

Yes, there's a wall. These are growing at the side of one of our busier streets. I'd spotted them driving by and made a note to return with my camera.

Beautiful! I love the simplicity of this one. Nice conversion, well presented. thumb.gifthumb

Wonderful!!! Like this lots! It has a 3D look. Bringing up some mid tones might make it stand out all the more?

Phil, AnnaMaria, thanks. In this case, AnnaMaria, I really wanted the bright blossom set off against a bunch of dark tones, so I wouldn't be inclined to brighten anything.
