So... at a dinner in Kathmandu a feminist advocate who is part of the government.

She told a story about crossing a rural creek while on a speaking tour:

The women were concerned about her crossing the creek and wanted to carry her across on one's back with a headband. The woman is about 140 lb and the task they wanted to undertake sounds crazy (she demurred): until you see some of this...







Age is no barrier...

They sure have taken hits...

The incredible deal is;

that other countries have "gifted" money to get it repaired two years ago

and the politicians running the gov't can't agree on how to proceed... the money sits... the danger remains....
