At this time of the year we occasionally get Tiger Moths resting on foliage in the daytime. Unfortunately, the "Scarlet" is on the hind wing, and shows only when the moth is alarmed and/or about to take off.
The first two images were aperture priority with fill flash. The third was daylight.
