I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Very cool, Tom! That first one looks like an aerial photo of a forest in autumn!

Both great abstracts, but the second doesn't feel like "rust" anymore.

Jurassic indeed. Forget waterboarding. Threaten to slap your prisoner up against that first subject and they'll tell everything they know.

Good to hear from you, David,

Thanks, John. The North Carolina high country is getting some great Summer rains....bodes well for getting some super Fall colors. I can't wait.

    Take care,

I appreciate your comments. Thanks for the visit.

My goal when shooting rust is to take a likely rusty subject and present it as something else entirely. I employ very aggressive PP work in that process and the resultant images never appear anything like the subject I'm working with.... I never know what the final image will look like. I just keep massaging things until I end up with an image that appeals to me. The hidden colors and textures in rust are absolutely amazing when they are released during the whole process.

It's great to hear from you my friend. Stay safe over there and keep the street scenes flowing.

    Yo Don,

I'm just trying to get the rest of you RUST JUNKIES fired up. You and several others have way too much talent in this arena to let it go to waste. Let's show the rest of the folks what magic rust holds.

    See you, my friend,

Hi Tom, I like both of these, but #2 really comes alive with the colour.

    Cheers, Richard.

Thanks for the visit, Cristóbal. I know that you, too, can work magic with rust. How about throwing something our way?

    Take care,

    Tom
