I've given up on trying to make my own logos for Smugmug because of the sizing issue. So Ive gone back to SmugMugs 'default' proof watermark. However I don't like that it shows up on the thumbnail in my gallery feature image on my client page. It doesn't seem to show up on the desktop version, but it shows up on the mobile version and it's ugly! Is there a way to keep it off my thumbnails?
for example the gallery on this page titled 'Mike and Molly': www.amymansfield.com/Clients

    Hello Amy,

I would love to assist you with this watermarking issue. The PROOF watermark applies to the Large and above display copies. With the resizing of display copies as the size of the screen responds to whatever device is being used to view the galleries the size of the display copy changes as well. On my screen, a 15" Macbook Pro, I see the Proof watermark on the gallery as you do on the mobile view. http://take.ms/5jMGX
There is not a way to make the Proof watermark apply to only larger display copies and above so that Large display copies are not the included in the application of the watermark. With the custom watermark you do have the option of applying the watermark on display copies thumbnails and up.

There is a work around, though not a perfect solution it will help. If you make copies of the images that you would like as thumbnails and move them to a gallery that you make, "Unlisted", then you can remove the watermark from the moved images and use them as the thumbnails for the gallery feature images.

I would love to assist with any issue you are having with your custom watermark. Write to us at help@smugmug.com and we can assist in how to size your custom watermark.

We found an issue where we were loading larger images on retina displays (like your smartphone) than we needed to, which could cause the mobile thumbnails to load a watermarked photo. The fix for this is currently getting some love with our QA team and I hope to have it out within the next 2 weeks. It may solve this issue for you!
