Burnished Brass Moth Diachrysia chryson
This is quite a common moth but this is the fist one I have seen in this garden. Resting on vegetation close to a hedge, I was unable to shoot it from the head end. Anyway, these images show something of is beauty. Depending on the angle of lighting/viewing, the wings have shiny, brassy or greenish colour
There are two, equally common forms, one with the broad dark band right across the wing and this one, with a gap.
EM-1, Kiron 105, f16, twin TTL flash, hand-held.

Thanks, Brian.
The image is a bit soft but I have decided not to sharpen it further as it makes the hairs look coarse.
