I swore I wouldn't....

....shoot any old, run-down farm scenes while on this trip. Lord knows, I've got hundreds already on file. This one, however, jumped out at me and I had to slam on the brakes, dart across the field, and fire away. It was in the Stowe, Vermont, area.
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Can I say...if mine, I would take inch and half off the bottom....just personal preference I suppose...
Cheers!
Nice one & it really pops

Hey, buddy.
I always value your input....even when it might be " personal preference ". As a matter of fact, I wrestled with the placement of the lower boundary myself....both when framing the shot in camera and later in the minimal PP work I do as far as cropping goes. The image I posted is virtually straight out of the camera. I elected to show the additional foreground to help establish a depth to that area in hopes that the image accurately portrays the isolation of the old structures....as best it can.
Thanks, my friend, for you thoughts. As I said, it means a lot to me.

Thanks, Rags. I was up in that neck of the woods for 16 days and every single day was the picture-perfect day you see in this shot. It was hard to take a shot that didn't have pop to it.
Take care,
Tom
I've got to admit, Cristóbal, that I saw a lot of terrific farm scenes that I let slide. This one, though, wasn't getting away.
Thanks for the visit,
Tom
Thanks, Eric.
I see all the signs, my friend, that you are subject to the same addiction I have toward old, abandoned properties. The Appalachians gave you a good taste for the " sport ". The next step is complete capitulation to the lore of the deal and the unabashed hunting down of the next subject.
Take care,
Tom

*I agree with the idea of cropping a little from the bottom

Many thanks, John. It was tough breaking my vow but I couldn't let this one slide.
See you,
Tom
I sure appreciate the visit, Tatiana. Thanks for your comments.
