Hoverfly on a mission

Sequence of shots of a large hoverfly Volucella zonaria entering a wasp's nest to lay her eggs.
I've seen this before but not managed to photograph it.

An excellent find.

There has been a notable absence of Vespula in our garden this year.

I don't normally see their nests but have found two nests this year both in the ground.
