These are really nice, the B&W was a good choice along with the shallow DOF, plus just the right amount of skin smoothing! Good job.
Thanks so much for commenting Orv, I appreciate the feedback!
These beautiful children have such nice skin that the only adjustments I made were to the usual exposure, tones, curves, clarity, etc. in LR.
btw... I think we've met before, at a SDdSLR shoot... though several years ago...
Eric, your use of BW make me question the need for color! Great set.
Hahaha Sara! Then, my Evil Plan is working!
That's a great comment and I will take that as a treasured compliment!
I think we probably all strive to create images that will, in some way, affect the viewer... stir memories... change their perception... provoke their 'animal brain'... touch emotion...etc...
Thanks Sara! I'm glad you like 'em!

Excellent work, Eric. I've always liked your approach to the conversion process.
I've never gotten into people photography, primarily because I learned early on that I was no good at it. My perception is that those folks who excel at it share a tremendously important trait: they're great at relaxing themselves but, more critically, they are very successful at getting the subjects to relax. Easier said than done.
Great job on all accounts.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

The first one has attention split going on, but I don't know what could have been done about it.
Cheers!

We're just trying to catch up to you buddy!
I picked-up a used EF 50mm f1.4 USM and used it on #'s 1, 2, and 4 at f2.8 and I couldn't be happier... especially on #4 - really sharp!
