Old red-eyes is back again

This one was just posing for me yesterday. The blue-winged grasshopper, Oedipoda caerulescens. This reddish form is quite common with us.

    Lovely image.

    I have seen these, and the red-winged ones, in the warmer parts of Europe but only in rear view as they fly ahead of me.
