Tree Rat I met today was telling me something

It was saying "Tell Harry it's nice to have him back at the Nature & Wildlife forum."

It was unseasonally warm (56ºF) and sunny finally today, so we went walking. About 2 miles in, Diana says "you haven't even taken one picture yet." I told her that it wouldn't be long. That's when I heard the scratching of claws against the bark, and this little fellow popped out posing just for me. He sat patiently while I adjusted the cam for a little fill-flash action.

Just a common tree rat actually (even though this one talks), and not the greatest squirrel photo either, but heck - I haven't been outside with the camera in weeks, so at least I have something for the January folder.

After I had shot a few he saluted and gave his regards to Harry welcoming him back home from family business. And I know just how happy Harry is when he sees tree rat shots in their natural habitat. :D

We have a tree similar to yours on campus. It has a hole in it, and you are gauranteed to find a squirrel in it. Never fails, always hear that scratching you mentioned. You could shoot tree rats there all day, heck on our campus, they'll pose for you if you toss 'em something. Fat little buggers.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
