    Greg, the heron in this photo looks a bit blurry. Did you miss the focus and hit the foliage behind instead? When shooting birds, try and put the focus point right on the bird's eye.

    Also, what's with the very heavy vignette on this photo? Is there something wrong with the lens or a filter you have on the front element?

    It was a filter I was using for something else. I was not expecting to photograph any birds, this presented itself as we were passing in an airboat. This was a very spur of the moment shot.

    Pretty good for shooting on a passing airboat. Does the heron look blurry to you on your monitor?

    I especially like the composition. Wonderful result considering what you've stated above. Looks like a fantastic location, as well.
