This flower was very close to the Clematis on which I recently found Diaea dorsata. That species had been very evasive of my lens. This one was to be even more so. It even took to dropping off and dangling on a thread of silk.
The fifth of these images shows where it had climbed up onto an overhanging variegated willow.
The last shot is of it dangling on a thread of silk. When it did this it remained suspended for just one or two seconds before quickly climbing back up. At no time were the eyes facing me but, when it did it the third time, I got this shot, which shows the upper leg holding the suspending thread of silk.
Olympus EM-1, Kiron 105mm macro, f16, twin off-camera TTL RC flash, hand-held.

Thanks, Brian.
I hope it returns and paints itself yellow for a further set.
