Remember these?

Back in the "old days", when you'd drive to Florida you'd see places
like this with a sign saying "FREE ORANGE JUICE". They were hoping
you'd stop for the free juice and buy oranges, carved coconuts, and
shell ashtrays to take back home. My parents would never stop.

I took this photograph a few years back, but I recently noticed that
the thing had been torn down and an ugly strip mall was built where
it used to be. Here's the photo so it won't be forgotten.

Interesting, never been to Florida but I can imagine how it worked.

Decay is always a nice subject and if you can combine it with live memories it even becomes better

Boy, you sure don't see many things like this any more. Great catch, Tony.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Very cool. I remember these things from back in the day here in California. What a great guest room or studio for the back yard one of these could be made into!

    best,
