Water mirage!

While driving on a dry salty beach from a small village in Baja California to the next town, I saw this at the horizon.

Lucky it was not on the hwy, so we could stop the car, get out and put the 200mm lens on.

I hand handled the camera, but also the mirage was very far away - at about 1 mile or more..., so the images are not very clear...

- What is amazing to me is the fact that you can see the water reflections of the trees and buildings! :)

PS: I did take one before (2010) on the hgy trough the windshield too :)

    Thank you Taz, I know... I cropped the image. But the 1 and 2 are what it actually looked like...

    I know we can see these things mainly on the highways, but what I'm amazed of is to capture with the camera something that actually doesn't exist... ne_nau.gif

    I've seen the phenomenon in a couple of deserts but never thought to capture it...

    but now - next time....
