What features does "photo management" software have? I mean, what are you looking for?
    If not now, when?

Sorry, I thought I had deleted this post! I was writing it and thought I had deleted it.

Anyway, I meant applications for cataloguing (asset management?) photos for printing, storing and posting to web. I am sort of between Lightroom and iView Media Pro but I will probally end up with iView Media Pro (see other post)

From what I understand IVMP still does cataloging a lot better than Lightroom does, though Lightroom is supposed to be a lot better than Bridge is.

    Apple's Aperture.

With 40 GB in the library on my Quad G5 with a 7800 Ultra, performance is quite good. RAW conversion is okay for me -- and for critical stuff I'm exporting to ACR and doing that.

With that kind of hardware I would sure hope it is! Aperture will run on my 15" PowerBook (1.67GHz G4) but the Apple Store salespeople kinda chuckled when they said it. I think Apple made a big mistake with Aperture. It simply requires too much HW to run properly. I think Lightroom will be the big winner in this space. From what I've seen iVMP does only a few things better than Lightroom.
