Here's a re-crop... that's all the real estate I've got...
Lost a little foreground... moon looks better I think!
I prefer the first crop, I really miss the foreground all across the bottom, of the image in the second version.
Select the moon, Free Transform, Scale, and you can move a slightly larger moon to a better position in the image and clone the hole left from the move. That is what I think I might consider. I'm just thinking out loud here....

I agree with you about the foreground and almost immediately regretted posting that revision... so...
I went back to LR and found some frame left to include the foreground, and place the moon in a bit better place than the original... I think it works well-enough now... thanks again for sharing your ideas!
