Can anyone suggest some good apps for creating photo books?
I use the book function in Lightroom and also BayDesigner from bay Photo. Most of the book publishing companies have their own book building software. Power users will often use Adobe InDesign.
On the other hand, I'm certain that a brand new user will chime in soon touting a product no one has ever heard of as his first post. 3....2....1....
I used to design books in Apple's Aperture, which worked surprisingly well for all but the most involved photo books. I also really like Asuaka Book's BookMaker tool, but that's only if you use them to print/bind your photo book. (And I really, really love their books, so I highly recommend that). See:
