More Butterflies

I continue to see butterflies in my backyard - far more than the last few years.

I have even seen a couple monarchs which is nice to see.






And a zebra Swallowtail, a variety I haven't seen in several years

Thanks Denise - I think #1 is my favorite as well, although the complementary colors of #2 I find appealing. The Zebra is just quite striking to my eye, but it needs more bokeh in the background I think.

I have tons of shots of butterflies in the butterfly bushes, but getting them with clean smooth backgrounds can require a bit of patience, more than I have frequently.

I love butterflies! #1 is beautiful and my favorite of these. I really like the zebra swallowtail and the purple flowers, but the background just didn't cooperate.

I haven't seen the monarchs come through my area yet, but my flowers are just waiting on them. I hope I am lucky enough to catch a few shots as good as yours when they get here!
