im planning to buy a rebel xt remote especially for night shots and eventually for infrared pictures. I was wondering if the use of an infrared signal remote could interfere in any way with the exposition of an infrared picture. Secondly I was wondering if those remote are Bulb enabled or they are no use when taking pictures in bulb mode. :dunno

The remotes I know of are all wired remotes.

If you were using an IR remote, the camera would likely pick it up if it were
aimed at the camera and in the light path.

This remote switch would probably suit you better. I've just been given an IR remote, and you have to be in front of the camera for it to work.

If you wanted to experiment mate you could maybe attatch a small mirror to the tripod on an arm or something like that so you can fire the remote from behind ne_nau.gif
