My daughter Sarah (5yrs) and son Kyle (1yr)

I'm about 2 months new to this photography hobby and really enjoy it. No formal training yet but doing a lot of reading on the internet.

I'm thinking a flash should have been used with Kyle's picture, but his hair seems to already be overexposed. Is there a way to fix it after the shot?

I like Sarah's as is, but focus may be a little off. Let me know what you would do differently with these photos. Thanks!

Both shots are very nice and capture your children in two obviously different states of "happiness".

On the one of your son, a little fill flash could've prevented the blown out hair as the camera would not have had to meter so much for the dark face (some one correct me if I'm wrong as I'm just a beginner also).

As for the focus on your daughter, it seems you just missed the focus point. It seems to me to be on her chin instead of between on on her eyes.

Other than that the I like the colors and PP you've done with them.

The first one works really well for me. It's very eye catching. You wouldn't lose a thing by cropping off some of the blurred lower body.
    Sid.
