flowers into autumn

While most of the summer's bright flowers have faded, a walk in the garden late on Tuesday allowed me to capture some beauties that are still in bloom.

1 :: Dahlias

2 :: Balloon Flower

3 :: cleome (many thanks to sara505 for supplying the name!)

I think 1 & 3 are stunningly beautiful. The first seems like it is blooming before my eyes. The third one is rich in color and juxtaposed nicely. I witnessed the last of the blooms back east before heading back to AZ....

Love the first 3 shots!!

Shadows messing with the 4th one....and last one is while healthy, still looks like wilting....JMO. Cheers!
