exif says 176mm but lens was at 200mm???

hmmmmmm

with the 70-200 4L on the 300D... my exif says I was only at 176mm and not 200mm

do I have a few extra mm in there somewhere???? or is just electronic screwiness? :dunno

    Where are you reading the exif from? Did you read from an edited file or from a file straight from the camera? ear.gif

    This happens with some copies of these 70-200s. Next time you send your rebel in to Canon, send the lense with it. They may re-chip it.

    This is not just a cannon problem, I have had that happen with a few cheap lenes on my Nikon.
